Come grow with us… we are in search of an Associate Program Director for our Pediatric residency program. The Central Michigan University program is a new community-based program that just received full accreditation and matched our 3rd class. This is the opportunity to help create a program with our energetic faculty, excited residents, and a supportive administration. We are focused on development of a medical home including our Centering Parent collaboration with the OB clinic, multi-disciplinary clinic, nutrition education and engagement in the community including collaboration with our Child Adolescent psychiatry fellowship. Covenant Healthcare, recently designated as a Children’s Hospital, is the referral center with its mission to care for pediatric patients in the 20 counties in northeastern Michigan community.

At CMU there is strong educational support with an amazing simulation center, library support and specific research mentorship and funding. The incoming physician will have the opportunity to teach, treat, and lead the direction of the program providing positive change in the region.  This position can be filled by a general pediatrician, pediatric hospitalist or subspecialist. You will have protected time allocated for 50% clinical and 50% academic duties which includes administrative duties, scholarly activities, and research. A faculty appointment will be provided by Central Michigan School of Medicine. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ academic medicine experience.
