2026 Pediatric Medical Education Conference

The 3rd Annual Pediatric Medical Education Conference, hosted by the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD), will be held September 25–26, 2026, in Arlington, Virginia. This national meeting brings together established and emerging leaders in pediatric medical education to share innovations, scholarship, and collaborative approaches to the challenges facing our field. 

This conference is presented in partnership with leading pediatric and medical education organizations, including the Academic Pediatric Association (APA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP),  Association of Medical School Pediatric Department Chairs (AMSPDC), Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics (COMSEP), Council of Pediatric Subspecialties (CoPS), FuturePedsRes (FPR), NextGen Pediatricians (NGP), and The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).

Members of all partner organizations—and anyone dedicated to advancing pediatric medical education—are encouraged to attend. The conference will showcase scholarly work from new and experienced pediatric medical educators, with strong encouragement for early career faculty and trainees to participate and present.

Please note, the APPD traditional fall meeting for new program leaders will be held immediately before the new pediatric medical education conference.
