POSITION SUMMARY

CHLA is seeking applicants for a PGY‑2 Pediatric Resident (Resident – PL II) to start July 1, 2026. Residents train in a diverse, high‑acuity environment and gain experience across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and subspecialty pediatrics.

To be eligible, you must have completed PGY1 year in categorial pediatrics by June 30, 2026. All applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis as of the program start date. We sponsor J1 Visas only

APPLICATION PROCESS

PGY‑2 transfer applicants must include:

  • Letter of interest explaining your reason for requesting a transfer from your current residency program.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) detailing your educational background, clinical experience, and scholarly work.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation, including:
    • One letter from your current Program Director, which must include an assessment of your performance and progress toward mastery of the ACGME core competencies.
  • List of completed rotations, including dates and clinical settings.
  • Copy of your ECFMG certificate, if applicable (international medical graduates only).
