Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics seeks an energetic and compassionate Program Director to lead our amazing Pediatrics Residency Training Program.

The Morehouse School of Medicine Pediatric Residency Training Program is committed to training excellent pediatricians with an expertise in community-based health delivery and advocacy, aimed at promoting lifelong health habits that decrease health disparities in poor, rural, racially, and economically disadvantaged populations.

Appointment as full-time Associate Professor or Professor of Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievement.  The anticipated start date is late summer/early fall 2024.

Broadly, the program director has responsibility, authority, and accountability to oversee all aspects of pediatric residency education and training.  This includes oversight of curriculum, evaluation, learning environment, resident supervision, program management and accreditation. The person in this role reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and the DIO of Morehouse School of Medicine. The role has 0.5 FTE allocated for administrative leadership and development of the residency program.

Applicants must be board certified in Pediatrics and /or a subspecialty and possess and valid Georgia state medical license and DEA.  Experience in Graduate Medical Education leadership and Residency Program Development is also required.
