The Pediatric Headache Medicine Fellowship program at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital is now accepting applications for 2027/2028. Our innovative one-year program integrates clinical and research training at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Barrow Neurological Institute, and Mayo Clinic Phoenix. Our program consists of five UCNS certified pediatric headache specialists, amongst other pediatric neurologists and a nurse practitioner who have a subspecialty interest in Headache Medicine.
The fellow will participate in assessment and management of pediatric and adult headache and craniofacial pain. The fellow will also develop expertise in procedures including botulinum toxin injection, peripheral nerve blocks, and sphenopalatine ganglion blocks. Our program offers a variety of non-pharmacologic treatments for pediatric headaches including cognitive behavioral therapy and devices. The fellow will have an opportunity to work closely with our pediatric headache psychologist.
The Pediatric Headache Medicine Fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital is accredited through the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS).
