Call for July 2027 Fellow
The Pediatric Environmental Health Fellowship is two-year postgraduate fellowship is for physicians in or who have completed a pediatrics-related residency or fellowship and are interested in advancing the field of environmental health.
This program is designed to prepare physician-scholars to become leaders in environmental pediatrics, with a focus on improving care for children and pregnant individuals affected by environmental hazards and climate change. Through a combination of clinical training, research, teaching, and advocacy, fellows build expertise in environmental health and gain the skills needed to advance patient care, scholarship, and public health impact.
The goals of the fellowship are to:
- develop physician-scholars with expertise in children’s environmental health, reproductive environmental health, and environmental toxicology.
- build core competencies in environmental pediatrics through clinical practice, didactic instruction, community engagement, and scholarly activity.
- strengthen fellows’ abilities in teaching, research, scientific and grant writing, and critical review of environmental health literature.
- prepare fellows to communicate environmental risks effectively and apply risk assessment in patient care and public health settings.
- foster leadership and advocacy skills so fellows can address environmental health challenges at the clinical, community, and systems levels.
Applications are accepted through October 1st, 2026.
- Please note that American Board of Pediatrics eligibility or certification in pediatrics is required.
