The Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a three-year, ACGME-accredited program designed to prepare pediatricians for robust and varied careers in pediatric endocrinology. In year one, fellows receive broad clinical training across inpatient and outpatient services, including management of diabetes, hyperinsulinism, thyroid, puberty, adrenal, bone and mineral metabolism disorders, and more. In years two and three, fellows engage in research — clinical, translational, or basic science — or may elect a clinically focused track. Our fellows are trained through the CHOP and University of Pennsylvania systems and have access to an incredible selection of educational and degree-granting opportunities.
Our program fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and intellectually curious environment. Fellows benefit from exposure to a large, diverse patient population (common and rare endocrine disorders), world renowned multidisciplinary care teams, and opportunities to shape their own clinical/research path.
Philadelphia itself offers a rich and vibrant living experience: world-class museums and historic neighborhoods, arts and cultural scenes, incredible and diverse dining, and the energy of a major metropolitan city. We truly love our community at CHOP, our amazing endocrinology colleagues, our patients, and our “goldilocks” city
