We are reaching out to share an exciting opportunity for residents —the General Academic Pediatrics Fellowship in Health Equity at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is now accepting applications for its upcoming cohort. This two-year fellowship prepares future leaders to provide high-quality care to children through advocacy, research, education, community engagement, and policy development. CHLA, consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals, serves a diverse patient population through its partnership with AltaMed, the nation’s largest FQHC. Over 90% of patients are on Medicaid/CHIP, and 17% have special health care needs. Fellows train in a rich clinical setting with subspecialty care, integrated behavioral health, and a robust complex care program. We offer an optimal training program for physicians interested in addressing the social determinants of health, caring for our children and youth with special health care needs, and improving transitions from pediatric to adult care. Because of the growing unique needs of pediatrics, our program is open to graduating residents in pediatrics, family medicine and med-peds. Please share this opportunity with your residents and encourage those interested to apply. Learn more: https://www.chla.org/fellowship/pediatrics-fellowship-health-equity
