We are excited to announce the availability of a Reserve position in the Child Neurology Residency Training Program at Boston Children’s Hospital for a qualified applicant to start July 1, 2026. This position will be offered through ERAS/NRMP in the 2026 Match.

The three-year Child Neurology residency program at Boston Children’s Hospital provides broad, rigorous medical training across a highly varied spectrum of patients and subspecialties, applying the latest technology and digital innovations. We offer an unparalleled breadth and depth of exposure to subspecialties in child neurology, one of the world’s most diverse patient populations, and unique opportunities to engage in basic, clinical, and translational neuroscience as well as education, health policy, and advocacy work. Since founding in 1967, the Program has grown to seven residents per year and has become one of the most desired residency programs in child neurology in the United States. All residents receive strong mentorship and career planning advice, allowing our graduates to be well-positioned to receive NIH funding and other grants and publish their work in high-impact journals, continue to subspecialty fellowships, and serve the children of their communities through excellence in patient care and advocacy.

This position requires that the applicant will have completed one of the following initial training pathways by July 1, 2026:

  • at least two years of general pediatrics residency (preferred)
  • or, one year of general pediatrics and one year of internal medicine or family medicine
  • or, one year of pediatrics and one year of neuroscience research

Per ACGME requirements, clinical training must have been performed in qualified residency programs, which include the following: ACGME-accredited residency programs, AOA-approved residency programs, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited residency programs located in Canada, or residency programs with ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accreditation (program list available here https://apps.acgme.org/ads/Public/INTL/Programs/Search).
