The University of North Carolina Pediatric Residency Program at NC Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is currently recruiting a pediatric resident to join our program as a PGY-3.
We are an ACGME-accredited residency program with 77 residents. Our academic residency program, supported by the University of North Carolina, serves children from across the state. More than 8,000 children are admitted annually to our 88-bed children’s hospital, which is designated as both a Level I Trauma Center and a Level IV NICU. The UNC Department of Pediatrics includes more than 250 general pediatric and subspecialty faculty members, providing residents with exceptional educational and mentorship opportunities. In addition to training at UNC Children’s Hospital, residents complete inpatient and outpatient rotations at community-based partner sites, including WakeMed in Raleigh and Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. These experiences provide exposure to diverse patient populations, healthcare systems, and clinical environments, preparing residents for a wide range of pediatric career paths.
