SCOPE OF WORK AGREEMENT
DEFINITIONS
APPD LESSON: Longitudinal Educational Software Solutions and Outcomes Network
Learning Management System (LMS): Online system hosting the curriculum, provided by APPD, contracted through Oasis©.
ROLES
Project Lead(s) (PL): person or people who are in charge of the suggested curriculum.
Subject Matter Expert (SME): chosen experts in the field related to the suggested curriculum.
Instructional Designer (ID): person in charge of development and design of LMS module, interactive learning elements, multimedia, graphics, color scheme, coordination of content delivery from subject matter experts, user testing, and subsequent beta testing.
Coordinator(s) in LMS Oasis©: account manager(s) that can add users and assign curricula for their programs. In addition, they can view metrics on learners. PDs, APDs, and program coordinators will be ‘coordinators’ in Oasis©.
RESPONSIBILITIES
APPD LESSON will be responsible for:

- Curriculum advising
- Design and development of online modules (graphics, active learning activities, multimedia)
- Pre- and post- curriculum assessment data collection
- Hosting the curriculum with annual updates, as indicated
- Hosting and providing pre- and post-assessment data for 4 years, at defined semi-annual intervals
- End user testing
- Final content and readiness to launch approval
Project Leads will be responsible for:

- Intellectual Property (IP) agreements from all PL and SME
- Goals and Objectives
- Identification of SME’s for APPD LESSON to directly collaborate with for development of content or provide completed content for asynchronous content creation.
- Lead the development of curricular content and assessments under the guidance of the SMEs and APPD LESSON.
- Provide new SMEs if delivery deadlines are not met
- IRB approval, if study required
- APPD LESSON can assist with the development and data collection for pre- and post- assessments in the LMS system.
- APPD LESSON can provide downloadable data from these assessments bi-annually. For other educational interventions and assessments, partnership with APPD LEARN is strongly encouraged.

- Ensure there are no copyright restrictions on any materials provided for the curriculum.
DELIVERABLES
APPD LESSON:

- Online module on the LMS
- Information and assistance in enrollment of learners to LMS system
- Pre- and post- curriculum data including demographic data and product usage/compliance
Project Leads and Subject Matter Experts:

- At the beginning of the application process, the following will be given to the LESSON committee:
- Intellectual property agreement from all project leads and subject matter experts
- Description of the proposed curriculum
- After the curriculum proposal is approved, the following will be given to the ID by (timeline approved by project team and APPD LESSON):
- Goals and objectives of the curriculum
- Names and contact information of SMEs
- Script and text for course (can be in format of PowerPoint, Word Doc, PDF), must be clearly tied to objectives (cannot include copyrighted materials - see IP agreement)
- Resources and links to media
- 10-20 Assessment questions (for pre- and post-test - we suggest the same questions for paired T-test analysis)
- After LMS modules are built:
- Review of LMS modules for accuracy of information prior to user testing
- Updating of resources when they become available
- At the beginning of the application process, the following will be given to the LESSON committee:
AGREEMENT
I, the project lead, agree to the following:
- I will provide subject matter experts to develop the curriculum by (date provided by APPD LESSON).
- If the subject matter expert I provide does not meet deadlines, I understand that I am responsible for providing another subject matter expert to provide content.
- I will provide the goals and objectives for the proposed curriculum by the deadline of (date provided by APPD LESSON).
- I will provide written content (in Word document, PowerPoint, etc) for use in the LMS by the deadline of (date provided by APPD LESSON).
- I will provide resources to the ID for review and possible inclusion by the deadline of (date provided by APPD LESSON).
- I agree to abide by deadlines provided to me by APPD LESSON.
- I understand no copyrighted information can be used and I have completed the APPD Intellectual Property Agreement. This means I will not be able to publish my content on other sites such as MedEd Portal or as a workshop at a national meeting, other than APPD, without specific permission from APPD.
- I understand that the design elements of the LMS will be managed by the ID.
- I understand that APPD LESSON will have final approval to launch the curriculum.
- I understand that limitations of the LMS will be provided to me (including possible question formatting, content structure, etc).
- I have been given a copy of the scope of work and agree to the terms.
