The APPD George K. Degnon, CAE, endowed lectureship was developed to honor the legacy George K. Degnon, CAE (1940-2022). He left behind a legacy which includes elevating and amplifying the voices of pediatric leaders to advance the care of children. George dedicated his professional life to ensuring that pediatricians had a space where they could develop into leaders who would transform children’s health. After serving as Chief of Staff at the American Academy of Pediatrics, in 1979, George founded Degnon Associates, an accredited association management company which exclusively serves health, medical and scientific organizations.
