The Pediatric Residency Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, affiliated with the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine has an open position for a PGY 2/3 resident starting July 1, 2026.

Our program is based at a state of the art, free-standing children’s hospital located in downtown Buffalo on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.  The residency program is designed to provide a strong foundation in both outpatient and inpatient general pediatric medicine with an excellent exposure to pediatric subspecialties.  We have a large volume, diverse population that affords our learners a variety of pathology.

In addition to the excellent clinical education, our resident are well prepared to take the General Pediatric Boards with a 3-year pass rate above the national average.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Have completed 1/2 years of an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency training program in good standing.
  2. Have passing scores on USMLE Steps 1 and 2 or COMLEX Levels 1 and 2.
  3. Be a graduate of a US or Canadian LCME-accredited medical school or be an international medical graduate with ECFMG certification.
  4. If transferring from another program, you must have notified your current residency program director.
