The Pediatric Residency Program at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital/Hackensack Meridian Health has an open position for a PGY 2/3 resident starting July 1, 2026.
Our program is based at our state-of-the-art child- and family-friendly facility and principal teaching hospital for the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. It is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in primary care pediatrics as well as broad, in-depth exposure to all pediatric subspecialties. Our graduates are equally well prepared for careers in general pediatric practice or in academics. The volume and variety of patients, a well-structured and comprehensive teaching program, and our emphasis on the resident’s responsibility for patient care ensure that you will be an exceptionally competent, confident pediatrician at the conclusion of three years, capable of managing acute life-threatening and chronic illness as well as providing standard-of-care health maintenance.
Residents are the focus of our program and take an active role in program governance. We will provide you with the highest quality of pediatric training while supporting your need to grow as individuals and maintain your commitments to your family and community.
