The Pediatric Acute Care and Urgent Care Fellowship at Children’s National Hospital has expanded to two fellows per year, and an additional position is now available for the upcoming cycle.
This one-year fellowship is designed for graduating pediatric residents who enjoy acute care but want greater confidence, efficiency, and autonomy before entering attending practice. Fellows train across pediatric urgent care and emergency settings with close mentorship and progressive independence, developing the skills needed to supervise trainees, manage flow, and make safe disposition decisions from their first attending role.
Training focuses on evaluation and management of low to moderate acuity emergency presentations along with practical clinical leadership skills that translate directly to community and academic practice.
