The University of Miami / Jackson Health System Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is seeking a first-year pediatric infectious disease fellow to begin training on July 1, 2026. Funded by Holtz Children’s Hospital and accredited by the ACGME and the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-board of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, the program provides a unique combination of high-acuity clinical exposure and strong research opportunities. Fellows train at Holtz Children’s Hospital, one of the largest and most diverse public children’s hospitals in the United States, as well as the Miami Transplant Institute, a nationally recognized high-volume center for pediatric liver, intestinal, kidney, heart, lung, and multivisceral transplantation. Trainees gain experience across the full spectrum of pediatric infectious diseases including general infections, congenital and perinatal infections, primary and acquired immunodeficiencies, and globally neglected infections while developing scholarly interests such as antimicrobial stewardship, transplant infectious diseases, tropical medicine, global health, HIV, and vaccine-preventable diseases.

- Completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatric Residency
- Eligibility for a First-year fellow position by the start date: 7/1/2026
- Commitment to a career in pediatric infectious diseases, academic medicine, or related fields
