The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, an ACGME accredited program at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, has 1 first year fellow position open to join our vibrant, academically driven, and diverse division starting in July 2026 with completion of fellowship in 2029.
Our fellowship program provides dedicated training in both general and immunocompromised infectious diseases. We also offer individualized training in antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, infection prevention and control, clinical microbiology, quality improvement, grant writing and biostatistics. All of this in a welcoming, tight-knit fellow focused environment in Kansas City. We welcome applicants who require visa support to complete their training.
Children’s Mercy (CM) is in Kansas City, Missouri and is a free-standing children’s hospital with 390 beds. CM provides world-class educational opportunities for trainees. A top-ranked hospital with 40 pediatric specialties, CM serves as the regional referral center and provides excellent training in clinical pediatrics. Strong support from the Children’s Mercy Research Institute provides training for the next generation of physician scientists. In 2025 Children’s Mercy completed 21,482 surgical cases, 4,917 medical transports and saw 14,807 admissions.
