The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Children’s Mercy is a 3-year training program accredited by the ACGME and accepts two fellows each year. Our program is designed to prepare highly qualified candidates to become leaders, educators and researchers in the field of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology through in-depth clinical exposure to a broad patient population and a robust research experience with strong mentorship.

Children’s Mercy (CM) is located in Kansas City, Missouri and is a free-standing children’s hospital with 390 beds. CM provides world-class educational opportunities for trainees. A top-ranked hospital with 40 pediatric specialties, CM serves as the regional referral center and provides excellent training in clinical pediatrics. Strong support from the Children’s Mercy Research Institute provides training for the next generation of physician scientists. In 2025 Children’s Mercy completed 21,482 surgical cases, 4,917 medical transports and saw 14,807 admissions.
