We have an opening for a PGY-2/3 position in the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Pediatric Residency Program, to start this academic year 2025-2026.

We are an ACGME accredited program with 30 pediatric residents. We are looking for a growth-oriented team player with strong communication skills, a dedication to patient and family-centered care, and health equity. We are located in the East San Francisco Bay, with easy access to public transportation, cultural amenities, wonderful weather year-round, and close proximity to many state, regional and national parks. Oakland is one of the most diverse, vibrant communities in the US, with one of the largest immigrant and refugee populations, and dedication to serving our community is a must.

Strengths of our program include a broad depth and breadth of inpatient and ambulatory clinical experiences, within the integrated health system of Kaiser Permanente, a strong focus on advocacy and community medicine, X+Y curriculum with significant flexibility to customize experiences to meet residents’ career goals, and excellent alignment between robust organizational and GME initiatives addressing health equity and diversity in recruitment and retention. Our graduates have gone on to pursue fulfilling careers in diverse settings including community and academic medicine, both general pediatrics and subspecialty care.
