The Rutgers Health Pediatric Residency Program at Children’s Hospital Of New Jersey/Newark Beth Israel Hospital is recruiting for a PGY-2 resident position starting July 1, 2025.
We are searching for a dedicated team player who is prepared to jump into a supervisory role for our diverse patient population in the greater Newark, New Jersey area. Our residency program serves a large immigrant and under-represented population with a focus on clinical medicine and public health to improve the well-being of patients in the area and surrounding communities. As highly trained pediatricians, our residents learn to become community advocates with valuable insight to the meaning of truly caring for children. Our residency program offers the opportunity to be deep in the heart of academic medicine with our New Jersey Medical School affiliation, growing their confidence as a learner as well as a teacher. There is tremendous pathology in our outpatient clinics and inpatient services, including a Pediatric ICU with post-operative cardiac surgery management and a regional Level IV Neonatal ICU. With exposure to over 30 different Pediatric subspecialties across Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and University Hospital you will receive a complementary experience caring for patients in both urban and suburban settings. Our residency program values those who are motivated to provide detail-oriented, team-centered, high quality patient care. We hope to consider qualified applicants to become part of our residency family.
