The Pediatric Residency Program at NYCH+H- Elmhurst is recruiting a PGY-4 Chief Resident to join our department on July 1, 2027.
Our 39 residents and 2 Chief Residents are part of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai GME Consortium. We are located in Jackson Heights (Queens) which is the most diverse zip code in the country and has the most delicious food in the world!
This one-year leadership position offers a unique opportunity for a graduating pediatric resident to develop skills in medical education, administration, mentorship, and clinical leadership while serving as a vital liaison between residents, faculty, and hospital leadership. The Chief Resident plays a central role in supporting the residency program, fostering resident wellness, coordinating educational activities, and promoting excellence in patient care.
Applicants should be residents in good standing in an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and graduate by July 1, 2027. They should have excellent communication and leadership skills as well as an interest in teaching residents and medical students. Opportunities are available for curriculum development, research and simulation supervision. We sponsor J1 and H1-B transfer visas.
