The University of Wisconsin Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes program has an opening for a 1st year fellow.
Clinical training is extremely broad in scope, and well balanced between general endocrinology and diabetes in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Patient care is concentrated at the University of Wisconsin American Family Children’s Hospital, which opened in 2007 and serves a population of over two million with over 4,000 endocrinology and 2,000 diabetes visits per year. Our Program emphasizes advanced technologies and tools for comprehensive diabetes and endocrine disorder management, and includes special exposure to Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Medical Ethics, Endocrine Oncology, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Family Lipid disorders, Pediatric Fitness, Genetics, Bone clinic, Pediatric and Adolescent Transgender Health (PATH) clinic, Endocrine Laboratory Medicine, Adult Endocrinology, and Endocrine Disease Imaging.
The enthusiasm, success and happiness of our fellows serves as a motivator for enthusiasm, success and happiness of the division overall. Fellows play an active role in the division’s growth, decision-making and become a part of our family well beyond the 3 years of fellowship. Madison, Wisconsin, home of the University of Wisconsin, is consistently at the top of “best places to live” in the US and a place that UW pediatric endocrinology fellows are lucky to call home. The University offers boundless options for collaboration with researchers across campus, and Madison offers many advocacy, culture, dining and exploring opportunities. We look forward to having you join our team!
