Memorial Healthcare System at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is seeking a Chief Resident for the Pediatric Residency Program for the 2027–2028 academic year.
The Chief Resident works under the guidance of the Pediatric Residency Program Director and plays an integral role in supporting the educational, clinical, and programmatic goals of the residency program. The position combines leadership, education, administration, and clinical responsibilities and provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while gaining an understanding of graduate medical education and institutional administrative policies.
About the Pediatric Residency Program
Memorial Healthcare System received institutional ACGME accreditation in 2015 and welcomed its inaugural class of pediatric residents in 2018. Today, the Pediatric Residency Program is an established and innovative program with 24 residents and a postgraduate chief resident.

Qualifications
• Expected successful completion of an accredited Pediatrics Residency Program in June 2027
• MD or DO degree
• Eligibility for a Florida medical license and ability to obtain licensure within the required credentialing timeframe
Of note, we sponsor J1 Visas. The chief resident will not bill independently for clinical services. Comprehensive benefits are provided with the position.
