The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Children’s Nebraska is seeking board eligible or certified Pediatric Cardiologists to join our expanding teams across multiple growing communities throughout the region.
The Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Heart Center at Children’s Nebraska provides care for patients of all ages, with complete and comprehensive cardiac subspecialty care. The Heart Center includes 33 pediatric cardiology faculty members, 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 10 pediatric cardiac intensivists, 6 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, and a highly skilled group of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Our Cardiac Care Unit employs a “door to door” acuity-adaptable care model, ensuring comprehensive care for cardiac patients from admission to discharge. The Heart Center is also a certified Aetna Institute of Excellence for pediatric congenital heart surgery.
Children’s Nebraska is a vibrant, free-standing pediatric teaching hospital and the only full-service pediatric specialty health care center in Nebraska. Our facility focuses on exceptional clinical care, education, clinical outcomes, and research. We have 230+ bed hospital with a Level IV Regional NICU, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Dedicated Behavior Health Inpatient Hospital, and over 50 specialty clinics. Recent expansions completed in 2021 include enhancements to our Cardiac Care Unit, Cardiac ORs, Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Labs, Newborn Intensive Care Unit, and more.

The group provides comprehensive onsite services and supports regional hospitals with remote echo reads and outreach opportunities. We are seeking a cardiologist with expertise in echocardiography and fetal echocardiography. The clinic provides on-site transthoracic and fetal echo, ECG, and Holter services. - Rapid City, SD – This is a brand-new position for a pediatric cardiologist with expertise in fetal cardiology, created to meet the needs of an underserved community. This role offers potential for medical directorship, growth of outreach services, and strong onsite support, including a sonographer certified in both congenital and fetal echo, a dedicated nurse, and additional staff to be added as the practice continues to expand.
