APPD reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtually or in person. Disruption of presentations at any event organized by APPD is strictly prohibited. Participants should not copy or take screen shots of Q&A. Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. Photography: By registering for the APPD 2025 Pediatric Medical Education Conference, attendees consent to be photographed during the meeting, with the understanding that these images may be used in APPD documents, social media, and publications only. Cancellation: APPD reserves the right to cancel any sessions due to lack of enrollment or other factors. In the event of a cancellation, registered participants will be notified by e-mail and will have the option to choose an available alternative. All registration cancellations by participants must be received in writing to APPD. A $50 administration fee will be assessed for all cancellation requests received by August 18, 2025. Cancellations received after August 18, 2025 will not be eligible for a refund. All reimbursements will be processed following the meeting.

The call for Enhanced Learning Sessions (ELS) submissions is now closed. Notifications will be sent out early June.

Enhanced Learning Sessions are 90-minute sessions comprised of a variety of creative formats including panel discussions, debates, or workshops. Submissions should be well written, have well-described educational goals and objectives, and well thought out agendas. Submissions should include a detailed agenda for a 90-minute enhanced learning session.

We encourage presenters to explore non-traditional, engaging, and innovative session formats that incorporate active learning, as well as those that allow time for questions, answers, and dialogue between presenters and participants. Timely and important topics addressed by innovative teaching techniques including expert panel discussion, flipped classroom, didactic presentations, or other creative formats will be prioritized, as well submissions representing multiple institutions and job roles within pediatric medical education. Special consideration will be given to submissions that include presenters across the pediatric education spectrum including UME and GME learners.

Submissions should be related to the field of pediatric medical education. We welcome submissions on the following categories:

• Promoting and Enhancing Pediatric Careers
• Educational Innovation and Technology

Abstract submission portal

Submission Now Closed

Submitted abstracts should be related to the field of pediatric medical education. Original research should focus on pediatric medical education, curriculum, educational scholarship, and quality improvement methodologies. Clinical abstracts will not be considered.

The submission review process utilizes a standardized scoring rubric and shielded grading system. Authors should not use institutional references in the body of the submission. Demographic information collected from the submitting author will not be considered in the review process.

Decisions regarding abstract selection will be emailed early July.

Accepted abstracts will be selected for live poster presentation. A few outstanding abstracts will be selected for oral platform presentations at the meeting. Abstracts are published exactly as submitted and cannot be edited before publication on the APPD meeting website.

Joint Accreditation Statement

American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) MOC

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 13.25 MOC Part 2 points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

You must request your certificate within 45 days of the activity to meet the deadline for submission to PARS. Credits are generally reported during the first week of each month for those who claimed during the month prior.

POLICIES

Cancellation: To cancel a sponsorship and receive a refund, a written request must be received to the APPD National office (info@appd.org) by August 29, 2025. Cancellation requests received by this date will receive a refund less a $50.00 processing fee. All requests received after August 29, 2025 will forfeit 100% of monies paid.
