The Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics are seeking exceptional, double-boarded candidates for the position of Residency Program Director, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. This 16-resident program is based at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak; a 1,131-bed academic medical center that serves as the primary clinical teaching site of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

The Program Director will be based at the hospital and will spend much of his/her clinical time precepting residents in their combined IM/Pediatric Clinic on the Royal Oak campus. The Program Director will also engage members of our cadre of community-based Internal Medicine/Pediatric primary care physicians to participate as didactic presenters and preceptors both in the IM/Pediatrics Resident Clinic as well as in their private offices. Finally, the Program Director will also be recommended for a faculty appointment in the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and will lead the effort to attract medical student candidates from OUWB.

Eligible candidates must be board-certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. At least three years of teaching experience is required, and additional leadership experience is preferred. We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed individual who is inspired by the possibility of taking a strong program to the next level and beyond.
