Agave Pediatrics is known valley-wide for our beautiful, creative offices and award-winning staff. We are a dynamic and fast-paced practice with five offices in the greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. We are seeking a licensed, board certified pediatrician (board eligibility is acceptable for new graduates) who has experience working with children of all ages and various medical conditions. Agave Pediatrics has experienced unparalleled growth in the last year, and as such, we need a flexible, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic physician, who is well-versed in the primary care setting and employs the principles of evidence-based best practices and AAP clinical guidelines. We value practitioners with varying levels of experience and will consider physicians who have recently completed their residency or fellowship programs. The site will qualify for a J1 waiver.

The chosen candidate will treat acute illnesses appropriate for the primary care setting, provide anticipatory guidance and perform well-child exams, in addition to providing patient and family-centered education and guidance. Responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions
  • Documenting patient care in a thorough and complete manner
  • Providing age-appropriate, evidenced-based healthcare
  • Leadership and participation in the development and institution of quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervision of medical staff in the clinical setting
  • Completion of daily responsibilities within a reasonable time frame
  • Maintaining flexibility within the schedule as Agave expands
  • Rotating Saturday clinic hours with 17 other providers
  • Participation in marketing opportunities and initiatives
  • Hospital based newborn visits/exams 

Key qualifications and skills:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Unencumbered AZ medical license will be required for practice
  • DEA certification
  • Experience with EHR (electronic health records) is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, efficient, and has ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
