We have two openings for the position of first year fellow in our Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship program at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California for AY 25-26.
The ultimate goals of our training program are to produce outstanding clinicians, master educators, and successful physician scientists. We have established the following objectives for the program to accomplish these goals:
- Ensure that our fellows are proficient in all aspects of caring for pediatric rheumatology patients.
- Teach our fellows the skills necessary to develop comprehensive care plans, lead multidisciplinary care teams, and ultimately manage medically complex pediatric rheumatology patients.
- Have fellows develop the art of teaching, such as discussing sensitive medical issues with patients and families, educating health care teams, and introducing the field of pediatric rheumatology to trainees such as medical students, nurses, and general pediatric residents.
- Mentor our fellows to become lifelong learners by fostering an inquisitive environment and equipping fellows with the tools necessary to perform innovative and preeminent research.
