Our University of Hawaii Pediatric Residency Program is seeking to fill a PGY-3 resident position starting July 1, 2024.

We are looking for a well-rounded, motivated, self-directed learner to join our incredible program that serves not only the patients and families from the Hawaiian Islands but is a pediatric referral center for the entire Pacific Basin. The diversity in patients that we see, including those with unique tropical medicine diagnoses, is unparalleled and provides for a unique residency experience. We are looking for a team player who would value our community. We have an incredibly invested faculty and are proud to have the community based, university affiliated Kapi`olani Medical Center for Women and Children as our primary clinical training site.

Prerequisites for Training:

  • Completion of medical training by graduating from either: a) A U.S. or Canadian L.C.M.E. accredited medical school, b) An American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation accredited medical school, or c) A medical school outside of the U.S. or Canada and meets one of the following additional qualifications: E.C.F.M.G. certified or holds a full and unrestricted Hawaii medical license.
  • Passing scores on the U.S.M.L.E. or C.O.M.L.E.X. Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 exams.
  • Completion of a second year of training in good standing at an A.C.G.M.E. accredited pediatric residency program.
