The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program has one open position for a first-year fellow.

Children’s Mercy Hospital (CMH) is a tertiary care facility that offers specialized services for general and immunocompromised infectious diseases, encompassing a variety of pathologies. We take pride in having one of the oldest pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASP) in the United States. Our fellows receive essential training with dedicated time spent in the microbiology lab and with the ASP and infection prevention teams.

Fellows can select their scholarly activities, which include quality improvement initiatives, bench and translational research, and clinical research. Our faculty team consists of 13 members with diverse interests who actively engage in NIH—and CDC-funded research and industry-sponsored studies. The qualified candidate will join a three-year fellowship that begins in July 2025 with our current second —and third-year fellows.
