The Pediatric Residency Program at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/ NYCH+H at Elmhurst is recruiting a PGY 4 Chief Resident to join our department on July 1, 2024.
Our 39 residents and 2 Chief Residents are based at NYC Heath + Hospitals – Elmhurst and are part of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai GME Consortium.
Elmhurst Hospital is located in Jackson Heights, one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the country and is a reflection of the city around it. Our trainees are from a wide variety of backgrounds including more than 20 countries, and provide compassionate, effective and high-quality care to patients of all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
We are seeking a motivated individual to oversee and assist in the administration of the residency program. Chiefs serve as advocates and liaisons between the residents, faculty, and administration. They are members of many departmental committees and participate in curriculum development, research and simulation supervision.
Applicants should have excellent communication and leadership skills as well as an interest in teaching residents and medical students.
Applicants should be completing an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and be in good standing. We sponsor J1 and H1 visas.
