University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a neonatologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (non-tenure/clinical track). The individual selected will join the Division of Neonatology to practice primarily at an affiliated Level II+ NICU in Davenport, Iowa and function as an integral member of the Division, participating in clinical research and teaching as well as patient care.

Stead Family Department of Pediatrics ranked 27th in NIH funding among all public pediatric departments nationwide in FY19.
- Must hold an MD/DO degree, or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible neonatal-perinatal medicine, or equivalent
- License or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa
- Clinical experience in neonatology in an academic setting
- Experience in patient-oriented research
- Teaching competence in pediatrics for medical students and residents
- Evidence of scholarly activity
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Evidence of leadership skills
Candidates with related clinical and leadership experience may be considered for a Medical Director role.
The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics comprises the medical and research staff of University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s top-ranked pediatric care and research institutions.
