Beginning with the July 1, 2021 academic year (Fall 2020 recruitment season), the University of Missouri Pediatrics Residency will offer a Resident-Scholar track for one position per year in addition to the seven categorical pediatric residency positions per year in our program.
The unique aspect of the Resident-Scholar position is the integration of the MU Executive Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) throughout the course of pediatric residency training (https://medicine.missouri.edu/departments/child-health/residency/pediatrics/pediatrics-residency-resident-scholar-track). The Executive Master’s program utilizes predominately online and self-study education in addition to in-person instruction for one weekend per month. The pediatric training curriculum will be adjusted to accommodate the MSHI coursework for the Resident-Scholars while still meeting all ACGME rotation training requirements for pediatric residency in 36 months. The program will consider the master’s degree coursework as part of duty hours.
How to Apply:
Those interested in the position should first contact the Program Director (email@example.com) before applying through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
