The pediatric cardiology fellowship program at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital (Hershey, PA) has an unexpected opening for a first-year cardiology fellow that we would like to fill as soon as possible. Please share with potentially interested candidates who may be interested in starting a pediatric cardiology fellowship soon. The ideal candidate would be able to start at Penn State prior to the end of this calendar year.
The pediatric cardiology fellowship program at Penn State is an ACGME accredited fellowship program that typically accepts one fellow per year. Fellows at Penn State take part in a robust training program involving inpatient and outpatient clinical care, as well as dedicated time for research. Our faculty consists of 12 board-certified pediatric cardiologists, 6 adult congenital cardiologists, 5 advanced practice providers and numerous support staff. Our cardiologists have expertise in pediatric cardiology, adult congenital heart disease (ACHD), interventional cardiology, advanced echo and MRI, fetal cardiology, electrophysiology, preventive cardiology, and telemedicine. We have state of the art facilities and are supported by APPs, pediatric sonographers, exercise physiology, and ECG technologists. We have two full time cardiac surgeons on faculty who perform approximately 200 pump cases per year. We take pride in offering trainees a close-knit, well-rounded experience with enough flexibility to tailor the curriculum to a specific learner’s areas of interest. As part of a cardiac program that consistently achieves top-tier surgical outcomes, our fellows experience the delivery of high-quality clinical care firsthand.
