We have 2 openings for Neonatololgy fellowship with a start of July 1, 2025. We are a level 4 NICU with 71 beds located in eastern NC. We have 50 beds on our main floor with an additional 21 beds on the second floor. Our sickest babies are housed in the main unit which is where the majority of your clinical time will be spent.
We have all subspecialties. We care for ELBW infants, PPHN, HIE and post-surgical infants. We have ECMO capability, and our fellows get exposure to that. We serve a large rural population with a very active transport service. Our fellows get the opportunity to take transport calls as well as go on transports.
We have great research support for our fellows through mentorship and there are a wide variety of projects that our fellows work on. We have a thorough didactic curriculum with a focus on physiology.
