At this time, the Division of Allergy/Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford University School of Medicine is recruiting a Clinician Educator as a(n) Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

We expect the successful candidate to participate primarily in the care of patients under the care of the Allergy/Immunology service. The successful candidate will be involved in formal and informal teaching of allergy fellows, residents, medical students and other graduate students.

Primary responsibilities will include participation in the care of patients under the care of the Allergy/Immunology clinical inpatient and outpatient services.  Outpatient services will be related primarily to pediatric allergy patients; the inpatient consult service will include both allergy and immunology at LPCH and SHC, a patient population that includes both adults and children. The successful candidate will be involved in formal and informal teaching of allergy fellows, residents, medical students and other graduate students.  The patient population served includes a high percentage of Spanish language-only patients, so preference will be given to applicants fluent in Spanish (native or full professional fluency). Candidates with proficiency and/or interest in the evaluation and management of drug allergy and drug desensitization will be preferred.

Successful candidates should have an MD or equivalent degree with board eligibility or board certification in American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) and have medical licensure in California by the starting date.
