Driscoll Children’s Hospital is recruiting for a Chief Resident for the 2023-2024 Academic year. Driscoll Children’s Hospital is in Corpus Christi, Texas and serves as the primary source of pediatric care for children in South Texas. Our 4th year chief residents participate in administrative duties including morning report facilitation, resident evaluation and remediation, medical student teaching, resident simulation training, safety event review and recruitment. They serve as the liason between the faculty, medical staff, and the residency program.
Our chief residents have clinical time as part of our Hospital Medicine group with 5 shifts per month and additional moonlighting available. Driscoll has 48 residents (16 per year), stong housestaff administrative support, and opportunities for additional professional development. We offer a very competitive salary and benefit package for our Chiefs. In addition, Corpus Christi has low cost of living and the hospital is 20 minutes from the beach!
