University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a Bone Marrow Transplant specialist. Appointment rank is open and may be to either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest. Appointment rank to Associate of Pediatrics (non-tenure track) may also be considered. The individual selected will join the Division of Hematology/Oncology to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services.
Requirements:
- Must hold an MD/DO degree, or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics
- Board certified or eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology
- Completed fellowship training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant or Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship training in a major Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant institution or 2 years’ experience working as a pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant physician.”
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in patient-oriented research
- Teaching competence in pediatrics for medical students and residents
- Evidence of scholarly activity
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
