We offer a broad curriculum in adolescent medicine, with highlights such as: dedicated LARC clinics and OR time with OB/Gyn for additional IUD practice, clinical rotations with Addiction Medicine, opportunities for longitudinal experiences in the Gender Health Clinic, and support for fellows to pursue individualized clinical opportunities. All of our fellows have protected time to participate in MCW’s longitudinal curriculum FACTS (Fellow Advancement through Career development, Training and Scholarship). For those with an interest in medical education, the Kern Institute at MCW has certificate and training opportunities that our fellows have participated in. Our fellows regularly participate in QI within our division and have opportunities to join institutional committees. For those with a research focus, we offer a longitudinal research curriculum in conjunction with Lurie Children’s and help fellows develop a multidisciplinary research mentoring team.
We are based in Milwaukee, WI, an affordable, medium-sized city with great arts, culture, sports, food and outdoor opportunities. Some fellows choose to purchase homes and/or condos, and housing opportunities range from downtown high-rise apartments to single family suburban homes all within an easy commute to campus.
Our Adolescent Medicine fellows are employed by the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals (MCWAH).
