The Pediatric Residency Program at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine is currently looking for one PGY-4 Chief Resident to join our department on July 1, 2024.
Chief Residents are based at NYC Health + Hospital/Jacobi and receive a title of Instructor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Jacobi Medical Center is located in Morris Park, one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country. As a safety-net hospital, our trainees provide compassionate and quality care to patients of all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. We are seeking a motivated individual interested in a leadership role that provides an opportunity to develop clinical, administrative and educational abilities. Chiefs serve as advocates and liaisons between our 45 residents, faculty, and administration. They are valuable members of departmental committees and participate in curriculum development, clinical competency evaluations, program evaluations, research and supervision. Chief residents are expected to engage in clinical activities that align with their individual interests and include time as inpatient attending during the academic year. Applicants must be completing an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and be in good standing. We sponsor J1 and H1 visas. A letter of recommendation from your Program Director will be requested.
