The Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program at Children’s of Mississippi is seeking to fill a position for a first-year fellow starting July 1, 2025. The University of Mississippi Medical Center Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship is a program offering education and training in all aspects of pediatric cardiology. Our fellowship program is a three-year ACGME-accredited, multi-disciplinary, collaborative effort at the Children’s Heart Center of Mississippi and UMMC designed to give a robust clinical training to aspiring pediatric cardiologists coupled with meaningful mentored research and quality improvement experience. It offers an integrated educational program that prepares advanced trainees for careers in pediatric cardiology.
Our program also lays a strong foundation for further training if so desired in advanced sub-disciplines of pediatric cardiology. Our recent graduates have gone on to advanced fellowships in ACHD, PCICU, and non-invasive imaging. The educational program provides progressive responsibility in patient care across the three years of fellowship training. We are the only tertiary care, referral center in the state of Mississippi. Our division is comprised of 13 cardiologists, including 2 full-time interventionalists and 2 full-time electrophysiologists, 1 nurse practitioner, and 2 pediatric cardiac surgeons.
