After announcing this project, Dr. David Leach, Executive Director of ACGME,appointed a "Quad" for each core specialty. These were groups having representation from the RRC, the certifying board, residents, and the specialty program director association or academy. The report of the Pediatrics Quad is attached and contains suggestions that program directors may find useful. This report may also be found on the Websites of APB and APPD. Additional information regarding this project is available on the ACGME Website, including an extensive Tool Box and bibliography. As of July 1, 2002, programs undergoing a site visit have been directed to access the Competency Addendum through the WebADS and to append the completed form to the PIF. The site visitors try to verify that information and comment in their reports on the activities of the programs in this regard.
